Pole Fitness

Pole fitness is a new craze that has been growing in popularity for a long time. More and more women are taking to the fitness class to tone up and build good upper body strength. Now, it isn’t a way of heading towards a pole dancing career, it is far from it. Yes, you’ll learn the moves of a pole dancer. But they’re aimed at toning the upper body rather than making it sensual.

We need to warn you though, you are going to get battered and bruised from this. A few crashed to the ground, and the way your feet and legs knock against the pole leaves you black and blue. The best dance knee pads will help give you a bit of protection on the knees, but from the knee down you will get a few bruises. If you have weak arms, then you’re definitely going to struggle to begin with, but it is something that will quickly start to build your strength up.

It also helps to tighten the stomach muscles as you pull everything together. Most of the moves involve using arms and core to spin around the pole, whilst the legs are used more for aesthetics. It is such a fun class to be in. Everyone will be super friendly, and you’re not expected to rapidly become a professional first time around.
