What Is Happiness Health?
Happiness should make the world go round. When life is good, and everyone is happy, days fly by like a breeze, and we all feel so very grateful to be living. But, that isn’t always the case. For one reason or another, you might find yourself feeling down in the dumps. When that happens, you might find it hard to shake off your new found funk.
If you’ve tried everything from your binge watching your favorite TV show to having a chat with friends, you might need to try something new to lift your spirits. Because regardless of what it is that’s making you feel blue, you deserve to be happy. So, it’s time to give a few more options a try and see if you can’t find your happiness again.
One of the first things you should try to do is smile more. You might not feel like it right now, but there’s just something about smiling that’s infectious. When you smile, you instantly feel brighter, and your spirits almost always lift – even if you’re smiling for no particular reason at all. Try it! You might take care of your teeth for health reasons, but they look so good you should show them off more. You’ll feel better for it too.
When you feel down, it’s tempting to stay cooped up indoors. But, this might not be good for you health wise, let alone emotionally. Sometimes, getting out and about, wandering around, seeing people and just generally being outside can do you the world of good. Not only is sunlight good for your health, but it’s also good for you mood too. So stop making excuses and head outside.
Sometimes, it isn’t so much an emotional issue like stress that’s getting you down, but something physical. When that’s the case, it can feel even harder to shake off. But, if you’re going to work on getting your happiness back, you need to take action. If you’ve just had breast surgery, breast forms can help regain your confidence. If you’ve lost your facial hair due to treatment, look into microblading get back some brows. When you’re suffering physically, there really is almost any solution to help you fake your confidence until you find it again.
Take A Bath
When you’re dealing with stress, you can often feel like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders. Because yes, mental harm can start to affect your body too. So, if you’ve got a lot on your plate and your body is starting to ache, step back and start to take care of yourself. Run yourself a nice hot bath with your favorite products and soak for as long as you like. There’s just something about relaxing and unwinding in the tub that makes you smile.
Go For A Run
When you’ve had an argument with someone close to you (or even a stranger – poor you), you can really feel in a funk. And when you get in a funk, we all know that there’s often little that you can do to shake it off. When that’s the case, go for a run. You might not think you have the motivation, but when you’re feeling down and worn out, hitting the pavement can be a welcomed release. The sound of your breathing can be calming, and physically working off your frustration can make it disappear.
Some people advise against this when you’re feeling emotional, but if you’ve tried just about everything and you still can’t find your smile, go out and treat yourself. Whether you head to your favorite bakery and enjoy a coffee and a slice of cake, or head to the mall and find a new pair of shoes, being good to yourself can help to make you feel just that little bit better. If nothing else, you’ll have spent some time enjoying yourself and not stressing over feeling down.
One of the best ways to calm your mind and see things clearer is to go yoga. There are very clear connections between yoga and happiness, but to benefit from them, you’re going to need to take a class. Not only will you find that your mind quiets and your problems seem to float away if only for an hour, your body will start to relax. Exercise is always good for the mind, but yoga can be the calming release that you’ve desperately been looking for.
There’s a reason that you always feel good when you hit the town with your girlfriends. It’s the dancing! You might think that the cocktails are just loosening you up, and sometimes they do, but it’s the fun of dancing that really gets you. That endorphin rush you get when you dance is as close to a natural high as you can get. So even if you feel like getting dressed up and spending a night on the town is the last thing you want to do, it could be the cure for shaking off your funk.
Although you may have trouble sleeping when you’re stressed, sometimes all your body needs is a little healing. And our bodies heal best when we sleep. If you want to regain your happiness, perk your mood and feel like yourself again, do what you can to get a good night’s sleep. Take a bath, sip chamomile tea, darken your bedroom and escape to the land of nod as peacefully as you can. After a few nights, you’ll soon see the difference.
Above all else, maybe it’s time for you to be selfish. If the reason you’re not quite feeling yourself is because of others, or your life feeling off track, take back control of yourself and do something for you, just because. Doing something you love, no matter how big or small that something may be could be your ticket to finally feeling like yourself again. Your happiness awaits, so finally take the plunge!
