Losing weight can be an upward climb, can’t it? It seems all the time new information is circulating on what we should and shouldn’t eat. Misinformation has been rampant and the biggest myth is that a low-fat diet will help you lose weight. That being said don’t go bingeing on a pound of bacon just yet.

There are good fats and bad fats. The truth is we need some fat in our diet. Healthy fats can lower your cholesterol and help your body to absorb nutrients which help you lose weight. Not only that but healthy fats contain vitamins we need such as Vitamin E, Protein, Omega Fatty Acids and Selenium.

The Many Benefits of Healthy Fats

These nutrients also help our skin and aid anti-aging. They contain Vitamin K which strengthens bones and are natural anti-inflammatories. Here are some top Healthy Fats that should be in your diet.

I can’t say enough about Coconut Oil, you should be using it in everything! Cooking and even beauty care. You can even make your own Hot Oil treatment for your hair with Olive Oil by just mixing it with hot distilled water. Coconut Oil is good for your hair and skin as well.

Omega 3

What’s all the fuss about Omega 3? It supplies the body with the energy it needs. Processed Foods are not only slowly poisoning us but they are draining the body of necessary oxygen as they don’t contain our needed amount of this nutrient. This is one really good reason Fish Oil supplements are so popular, There are many foods you can get all you need from:
